Meet Brian: As Senior Pastor of Church of the Foothills since November 1998, I spend most of my time managing my current duties which include researching, preparing and giving the weekly sermon, setting the overall vision for the church and keeping the church on track with that vision and providing leadership and oversight to the staff and Leadership Board.
I was born and raised in Ashland, Ohio where my Mom, Dad and one sister and her family still live. My college days were spent at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana where I met my lovely wife Cindy; we were married in 1982. After College I spent a year as a Pastoral Intern at the Paradise Alliance Church in Paradise, California before going to Denver Seminary in Denver Colorado. After Seminary I returned to the Paradise Alliance Church as the Minister to Students and after five years moved into Adult ministries where I served another five years before becoming Senior Pastor at Church of the Foothills. I live in Cameron Park with my beautiful wife Cindy and my three wonderful children.
Brian's most profound Christian experience: I would have to say the events that led to the rededication of my life to Jesus. I became a Christian as a young boy and was raised in a Christian home. However, not until my freshman year of High School did I really make Jesus the Leader of my life. It was through a summer camp experience around a campfire when the speaker was talking about the fact that Jesus wants to be your Lord not just your Savior. I felt such a clear call on my life at that point it was unmistakable. And since then, God has led me faithfully to serve him.
