Visitor Calling Ministries

The Visitation Ministries is a vital part of the Church of the Foothills (COTF). This program is coordinated by Harry Hooper. Currently, there is only one Visitation Team and we are in need of more teams. For more information about the program contact Harry Hooper through the church at (530) 677-3057. Through this ministry visitors come to realize that the members of the COTF are caring, friendly people with a sincere interest in others. Here is brief overview of what people serving in this ministry do.

Who do we call on?	Everyone who fills out a registration card as a first time visitor. This often includes people who have visited Church of the Foothills more than once. Sometimes people want to check out a church before letting anyone know who they are.
	What is the purpose of the call?	Our primary purpose is to make them feel welcome and answer any questions they may have about COTF or the Christian Missionary Alliance. We may not be able to answer all their questions but we can find out answers for them or have someone else call them with the answers. We also bring a loaf of home baked bread to give to them. Sometimes we discover that they don't know anything about the Bible or what Salvation is all about and we sometimes have an opportunity to help them understand and even lead them to the Lord. We never try to do this unless we feel a strong leading of the Spirit.
When do we call on them?	We try to visit their home during the week following the Sunday they filled out the card. Occasionally, if there are a lot of first time visitors, we may not be able to get to all of them during that week.
	Who does the calling?	Usually the visits are made by a team of two people. A man and his wife, two men or two women. Right now there is only one vistation team. This team faithfully goes out every week.
