Introduction

Church of the Foothills was established on July 1, 1990 by a handful of people who carried a passion to see a solid, consistent and vibrant Testimony for Christ be established in Cameron Park. After meeting for a period of time in a home the group began to gather at a local elementary school before acquiring five acres of prime real estate on Hwy 50. We completed our first permanent structure, a 350 seat Worship Center, in 1996 and have recently opened a brand new 12,000 square foot Family Life Center complete with a full size gymnasium, classrooms and commercial kitchen.

We believe that this facility will enable us to better fulfill our strategic plan of becoming a "hub" of activity for the community of Cameron Park. Average Sunday morning attendance is 600-700. Church of the Foothills is known as a warm friendly church that has a deep desire to reach the lost in the foothill area. COTF is a member church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. We envision a growing community of individuals, marriages and families that are in the process of building an intimate love relationship with Christ and passionately fulfilling their unique, God-given purpose.

Our Strategy (answers the question of how we are going to fulfill our purpose and vision)

We are committed to a balance of winning people to Christ, growing them up in Christ, equipping to serve Christ and sending them out for Christ.

Our Mission (answers the question of what we are going to do to try to achieve our vision and purpose)

We intend to fulfill our purpose, vision and model our values through persistent prayer, sound Biblical teaching, vibrant worship, intimate fellowship, practical training, compassionate care, fervent evangelism and devoted service.
